Day Two Curry Hammock, Marathon Key Florida

Today we went into Marathon and had lunch at Burdines Marina. You will have to ask your GPS to get you there. It is on 15th street east of RT. 1

The restaurant is on the second floor overlooking a canal.

Becky is enjoying the view.

A boat at the marina.

Always a cold beer.

A whole family of manatee swam below.

A view of the restaurant, it is a local place. If you order fries share them with 3 other people.

Another boat at the marina.

An iguana walked across our camp site.

We took a trip on the kayak around our island. This is a look at the beach on the Atlantic side.

It was a good paddle.

The east end of the trip you have to go through the mangroves.

This pic shows the bridge we have to cross when we come into the campground.

Doesn't look very high, but we fit just fine.

Our trip ended when we came back to where we launched at the inlet.

  1. Looks like it was a little chilly there, too. But you found another great place to visit!
Don is still trying to mend. His wrist still hurts, but it's probably because he has to keep doing heavy work. Got the last section of our bookcase set today.
