Long Island to New York City, actually Jersey City New Jersey

We are becoming fans of the Travel Advisor app. It has pointed out another great place to eat just down the road from the campground. They were nicely decorated for Fall.  Looks like our friend, Mary, could have done the decorating.

The food was as good as the decorations.

Looked like Ernie made it Long Island
We had a very interesting trip through NYC, ask me sometime. Do not want to get in trouble.

The New world trade center in the background. Two years ago it was just a skeleton.

We got on our bikes and road around the Liberty Park Marina.

A view across the Hudson River.  (The new World Trade Center in the middle of this pic)

You can see the Chrysler building and the Empire State Building.

Another view across the river. Still pretty cool, tomorrow is suppose to be sunny and warm.

Guess what, they have skunks in NYC.  Actually Jersey City, New Jersey.

The sun lite up the building across the river as a sailboat sailed out to sea

Statue of Liberty getting a little sun.  Notice the Coast Guard Helicopter keeping a watch on things.

There is an anchorage around Statue of Liberty Park and this boat was heading back there.   We would anchor here too if the opportunity ever presented itself.  It is so central to the downtown happenings and totally free of cost as opposed to getting a dock at a marina for roughly $100 per night.

I grilled lamb chops and asparagus and Becky made Couscous with cheese and sun dried tomatoes for supper. YUM , it is tough roughing it.
