Acadia National Park and Desert Island

We traveled to Acadia National Park and stopped at Jordan's Pond

The two mountains behind Becky are called Bubbles. We thought they looked more like a woman's ...
In my defense, I was talking when Doug snapped this pic.  Sorry for the boot lip look, but decided to let it slide.
Nobody is to touch the water in Jordan's Pond. It is the municipal water for the area and supposedly the purest water in Maine.

A trail around the lake has many nice views

Jordan's Pond has a restaurant that you have to try.

You can eat inside or out. The item to try is their Pop Overs.
We just got two each and coffee. They are very yummy.

After Jordan's Pond we went up Cadillac Mountain

The view was unbelievable. The weather was perfect.

Every direction you could see for miles and miles.

Cadillac mountain is only 1530 feet above sea level, but it is one of the highest next to the sea.

This is our third time up the mountain and we have never seen it this clear.

The hillside was full of color that does not show in a picture

Looks like someone just dropped this rock.

A cruise ship was moored at Bar Harbor.

Playing with the camera, black and white pics are still interesting.

This pic does show some natural color.

Got off the beaten path coming back to the camper and found a pretty harbor.

The tides are interesting, many feet twice a day.

Stopped downtown Bar Harbor where you can get a carriage.

Ate supper at Cherrystones, come during happy hour. We had Cherry stone clams in a wine garlic sauce. They were fantastic, but the sauce was even better. We ordered two of the flat breads with clams and white cheese to dip into the sauce. They are located right at the corner of the park downtown.
